The Network Portfolio Advisory Group (NPAG)
Introduction/Overview/Mandate
The Network Portfolio Advisory Group (NPAG) represents the Management Board and Heads of Medicines Agencies (HMA) within EMA IT portfolio management.
It attends relevant ceremonies jointly with EMA Portfolio Board, ensures oversight of progress and provides input on strategic decisions.
Role of NPAG:
- support the portfolio management approach by providing an informed opinion on topics of strategic importance;
- provide advice during epic development;
- can be allocated as a ‘rapporteur’ on a specific topic and would therefore represent the Management Board in certain topic-specific ceremonies thereby creating experts/expertise around the different strategic topics.
Members and representatives
NPAG is composed of six members; three representing EMA Management Board and three representing HMA.
Meeting Frequency
NPAG does not hold regular stand-alone meetings; NPAG members attend the following quarterly ceremonies:
- Quarterly Strategic Portfolio Review - NPAG attendance required
- Quarterly Portfolio Sync - NPAG attendance required
- System Demo - NPAG attendance optional
- Planning Interval ceremony - NPAG attendance optional
